Default Alternator Problem

I have a DR44G alternator that I bought from a fellow member for LS swap project. Tested good at Advance Auto Parts last week then disassembled it and had case powdercoated. Now after reassembling it has no output and I'm wondering what I could have done wrong (please no smart-*** remarks). When I tested it yesterday the faults were, "no voltage output, no stator output."

I need to upgrade the rectifier and voltage regulator.

a few ideas:

powder coat could be blocking the ground that certain bolts that ground to the alt case from the rectifier/regulator.

brushes not properly seated.

Alternators are fairly straight forward devices, rip it apart and reassemble it again, see if there is a video on youtube of one being assembled that you could use as a guide to see if you are putting a screw (or insulated screw) in the wrong spot.

The rectifier grounds to the back of the case. There are two pads that the rectifier contacts and they didn't powdercoat the pads. I put dielectric grease on them.

I will check the brushes.

They are straight forward that's why I was surprised it didn't work. Thanks for the idea's. I'll go through it again.

Just remembered dielectric grease is non-conductive but there was some white grease on those surfaces. Any idea what that might be?
