I believe someone responded to this and you responded back, but his post was deleted.

I know I've seen a thread that explains what to do on here. IIRC it's in the newbie tech "how-to" thread.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...lkthrough.html

That's a walkthrough on a stealthbox. I didn't bother reading it though because I'm not using one but I'm sure it'll give you an idea at least.

Hmmm... I guess I got nothing for that lol.

I have never made a box myself; only bought them because I'm way too lazy to go through the work of figuring everything out myself.

Daniel Richards seems to have the most knowledge on systems that I've seen so maybe ask him. That's his username so you could try sending him a PM... (For the record and moderators, I have no idea if what I'm doing is allowed here... if not let me know please)

I've searched out this subject at length, and every thread on the subject (on any forum I've found) ends up going no where or just points you to the subthump stealth box for a 10, the issue is the manufactures of these boxes are sponsors for like all the forums for these cars so even if someone had the dimensions they are promptly removed because that info getting "out into the wild" would effect the sponsors bottom line.

but all that aside getting a 12 to fit in that space is VERY tricky, most of the 10" stealth boxes can't be modded to hold a 12 because of how they are shaped once you get past the "faceplate" and it seems no one still produces a 12 model (probably because most 12's require more airspace then you could get there without fiberglassing the back of it) there is also the issue of the average 12's trim ring (outer diameter) being to large for the space requiring the trimming of the plastic panel for clearance, beyond that because of how the average stealth box steps to a smaller size as it goes back effects mounting depth of subs with larger magnets.

In short, it can be done as it has been done but there aren't any readily available dimensions. If you don't have to carry many people at one time the backseat area makes for an excellent location to put a box so you can retain use of the t-top holders in the back.

I've yet to see a 12 model for that area... But I have seen one user on here put a 12 in that space (not sure of who, may be the one I linked to, or if it was FG or wood)
If you're not looking for optimal bass then stick with that spot with a low-end 12 that doesn't require much volume. I won't ever put a woofer in the backseat area, though. My single 10 runs WAY louder in the t-top well than just about any set-up in these cars, partially because it fires up into the hatch window. But, for just average bass you certainly CAN run in the backseat... But by that point, you're better off running a 10 in an off-the-shelf stealthbox...

I found a few threads where people had 12's in stealth boxes and one said they had gotten the box from Kee Audio, perhaps at one time he made them but not anymore, I've only been in an f-body for just over 2 years now and am finding many things no longer being produced for these cars.

many of us prefer to retain the t-top well for the T-tops (hence the reason stealth boxes exist to begin with) but some of us want more then one 10 so folks like me and Nitrodude https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...ld-camaro.html go more extreme (my build is much more budget friendly).

the trick is to build a ported box with the port firing backward toward the hatch area, the numbers speak for themselves, Nitrodude consistently hit 149.8db (I was there for one of the times, that crap hurts) and my 500 dollar build (including 2 subs, an amp, box materials and wiring) pulled a 140.9db but i've been contemplating a redesign to increase cubic footage to better that number (I need to get some current pics on my setup).

It is not the policy of LS1Tech.com to remove technical information such as dimensions or build instructions - even if they are for a product like those sold by one of our sponsors. We are all about tech here and posting knowledge that helps other members is encouraged. The exception would be posting copyrighted information without permission or posting information that would be considered a trade secret. IOW, you can post a detailed "how-to" that you write yourself but you can't post an image of a manufacturer's instructions (without permission).

That being said, I seem to remember a discussion with our sponsor Kee Audio about a 12" sub stealth box. You might want to search for that or contact him directly.
