I know I've seen a thread that explains what to do on here. IIRC it's in the newbie tech "how-to" thread.

That's a walkthrough on a stealthbox. I didn't bother reading it though because I'm not using one but I'm sure it'll give you an idea at least.

I have never made a box myself; only bought them because I'm way too lazy to go through the work of figuring everything out myself.
Daniel Richards seems to have the most knowledge on systems that I've seen so maybe ask him. That's his username so you could try sending him a PM... (For the record and moderators, I have no idea if what I'm doing is allowed here... if not let me know please)
but all that aside getting a 12 to fit in that space is VERY tricky, most of the 10" stealth boxes can't be modded to hold a 12 because of how they are shaped once you get past the "faceplate" and it seems no one still produces a 12 model (probably because most 12's require more airspace then you could get there without fiberglassing the back of it) there is also the issue of the average 12's trim ring (outer diameter) being to large for the space requiring the trimming of the plastic panel for clearance, beyond that because of how the average stealth box steps to a smaller size as it goes back effects mounting depth of subs with larger magnets.
In short, it can be done as it has been done but there aren't any readily available dimensions. If you don't have to carry many people at one time the backseat area makes for an excellent location to put a box so you can retain use of the t-top holders in the back.

If you're not looking for optimal bass then stick with that spot with a low-end 12 that doesn't require much volume. I won't ever put a woofer in the backseat area, though. My single 10 runs WAY louder in the t-top well than just about any set-up in these cars, partially because it fires up into the hatch window. But, for just average bass you certainly CAN run in the backseat... But by that point, you're better off running a 10 in an off-the-shelf stealthbox...

the trick is to build a ported box with the port firing backward toward the hatch area, the numbers speak for themselves, Nitrodude consistently hit 149.8db (I was there for one of the times, that crap hurts) and my 500 dollar build (including 2 subs, an amp, box materials and wiring) pulled a 140.9db but i've been contemplating a redesign to increase cubic footage to better that number (I need to get some current pics on my setup).

That being said, I seem to remember a discussion with our sponsor Kee Audio about a 12" sub stealth box. You might want to search for that or contact him directly.
