In-Line Fuse What size in-line fuse block do I need for my stereo? I have a jbl gto 5355 amp with (2) 20A fuses, here are the ratings on the amp.
RMS Power Rating:
4 ohms: 55 watts x 4 chan. + 225 watts x 1 chan.
2 ohms: 75 watts x 4 chan. + 360 watts x 1 chan.
Max power output: 125 x 4 chan. + 535 watts x 1 chan. approx. (1035 watts)
LED power and protection indicators
Tuned Bass EQ (0-12 dB bass boost)
Cast-aluminum heatsink
Variable high-pass filter (10-100 Hz, 12 dB/octave)
Variable low-pass filter (32-320 Hz, 12 dB/octave)
CEA-2006 compliant amplifier
Frequency response (Chan. 1-4): 10-83000 Hz
Frequency response (Chan. 5): 20-250 Hz

I wouldn't pull any more than a max of 150A through a 4 gauge power cable, so you want a fuse above 40A, but below 150A. Since you have the fuses on the amplifier, you just need one to protect the 4 gauge power cable. I'd go with a Mini-ANL fuse in one of these ratings : 60A, 80A, 100A, or 125A .
