im sure this has been covered before, but i dont really know what to search for.
I recently bought a 99 z that didnt come with a key fob, im wanting to order one but dont know what one to order or what part number i should get. if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

For reference, the part number on my key fob is: 16245100-29

I want to say that part number brings up the 3 button fob as well as the 4 button one. Ours had the four buttons. Lock, unlock, trunk, and panic button.

As far as I know, if you put that part number in on ebay and snag one of the four button fobs you should be good to go. You have to mate the fob to your car and those instructions are on here somewhere. It's not too hard, I had to do it on my 1999 Z28. I found an extra fob on ebay and mated it to my car via the instructions on here and it worked perfectly.

cool, im guessing my car was a repo, didnt even come with gm keys...
