Steering Column wiring question
Goal: use the wires that originally ran to the 2001 connector, and run them to the '78 connector, so that hopefully the turn signals will work on the column
Question 1: do you know what each of the wires is for on the 2001 connector (second pic), or on the 78 connector?
Question 2: the plastic coating has fused to the wires, making it pretty much impossible to strip them. Any tricks to working with this issue?

Sorry, I don't have a 2nd generation manual.
There are also more diagrams at http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/wire/ which you may need to reference to trace all the colors.
If you have any other issues, the folks in the Conversions and Hybrids section of this site may also be able to help.

the connector on top is the one I actually needed, the one below is the one for cruise control and the wipers.
BTW - You might be able to save yourself some splicing by using a paper clip to release the terminals from the connector bodies and transferring them.
Ya learn something new everyday! That definitely would have saved me some time.
