I would first come up with a budget on the sub. It's so many choices out there. Kicker, alpine, NVX, Rockford,Orion,American bass, Sony,pioneer, sound quebed, JL audio, sun down, Kenwood, clarion,infinity ,etc...... The list goes on and on.

With a budget of $120 total you won't be able to buy anything that sounds good. Save up more $. Keep an eye out for used stuff in the mean time. When looking at a subwoofer check the mounting depth and diameter of the magnet. You need a relatively shallow subwoofer and the magnet can't be too large in diameter or it will hit the back.
^^^ yes but you had a realistic budget of $100 for a decent sub. I never said anything negative. Best thing I could even find on ebay for an amp was a 300 watt no name refurb from China for $60. Not trying to discourage you but seriously anything you get new in that price range you won't be happy with and it will end up costing you more $ in the long run. Might be able to find something decent used. Tusky did you get anything yet? I was really interested in those Soundqubed HDS212 subs. I recently picked up an AB XFL 12. Going to build another enclosure sometime...
