Pioneer compared to CDT?
How would Pioneer TS-G1045R 4" compare to CDT CL-4EX 4" speakers for the rear of a Firebird w/ Monsoon system as far as sound goes?

general rule, or atleast it's what I've lived by for a decade and a half. Pioneer makes great Headunits and mediocre speakers so I would probably lean towards the CDT's but these are the rear fill speakers so if your on a budget go for what you can afford.

I did hook these Pioneers up last night and were significantly quieter than the stock Monsoon mids (tweets are blown). There are also a set of Kenwoods with almost identical specs of the Pioneers. The main reason I'm looking at these is I have a gift card to burn lol. There is also a set of Kickers.

just remember the NON-monsoon cars don't even have speakers back there to start with so it's not like you really "need" something back there, so "good enough" would probably work for this scenario, it's not like it's the subs or the door speakers. you don't really want it to be super strong because that would pull your sound stage back.
