Help me out fellas.... I seem to be having some electrical issues with my 99 TA. I have replaced both window motors and the switches within the past year and a half. I know of the common slow roll up issue, but now my alarm system is on the *******! One I arm it, I get random chirps/horn blowing within a few minute....continues until I turn the alarm off. Could this be a bad body control module? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

This is a fairly common issue on these older factory alarm systems. It is usually caused by the shock sensor. The shock sensor picks up moisture over the years and then starts causing random alarms and arming problems. The simple way to confirm that the shock sensor is causing the problem is to unplug it and see if the symptoms stop. The sensor is mounted on the right quarter fenderwell in front of the spare tire. Sometimes it can be recovered using the same "put it in a box of rice" method used to dry out cell phones but usually by the time it causes symptoms it needs to be replaced. The alarm system will function without it (except for shock sensing of course) so you can leave it unplugged if you don't want to replace it.
