1997 turn signal problems

1997 turn signal problems I'm new to this site so if I listed my problem in the wrong area please let me know.
My problem is the front turns signals. When the car is cool and just started the front turn signals work OK. After it warms up I loose one or both of the front turn signals.
I read about the DRLM being a factory problem and hope that other members can point me in the right direction to fix this.

It's a component of the system and something that can fail, but I've never heard of it being a common issue.
When things get hot and the signals stop working, do your other lighting functions still work? (DRLs, Parking Lights, etc.)

Wssix, I had a helper come over yesterday to help me check the functions of the other lights as the car ran but another project, an LS5 71 Corvette was first to be worked on and disappointing at that so the Camaro slipped to 2nd priority but will be checked as soon as the weather allows.
Problem we found with the Vette is "metal dust" stuck in the oil coating the valve covers. Crap!

All is well. I feared the worse and spent hours tracing the harness and modules with no success. I could not even trigger the problem the owner asked me to fix.
Seeing that the owner only experiences the problem while driving and all my test were static, I took it for a test drive. Just as he said the blinker went dead. Finally, after hours of searching I saw the light....or actually the light stopped.
DUH! It is not the module, it is not the full harness, it is not the bulbs or sockets or whatever. IT IS THE HARNESS CONNECTOR on the steering column. 10 minutes of cleaning contacts with scotchbrite and electrical grease and all is well.
Thanks for burning the brain cells but all is fine now.
