Wire Stripper Hey guys,
I have a question about the automatic wire stripper that you see on TV. Does it work? I ask this cause my father wants one for father's day, so, does it work, or is there another type that does the same, would be nice for doing installs, but if its a waste then no way. Thanks.

I bought the same one that is advertised on TV at a local outlet mall a couple of years ago. I agree with VinMan2 - I wouldn't be without it for electrical work. It is just as quick and easy to use as they show on the ad.

I haven't seen any wire stripper commercials on TV, but I pretty sure I know what type you are talking about. I owned a pair of Stripmaster wire strippers and they were badass....however I would spend very much money on a set unless I did auto or home installs for a living. I don't really mind the regular ol' design anyway...... but they are nice!
The Matco ones have to be bought from the Matco man, kinda like the snap-on man. If you have a harbor freight tools in your area they should have some that are very similar. Other than that all you can really do is get them from the internet. Hope this helps.
