Adding tilt sensor to factory 98 TA security system Hey everyone,
Recently picked up some OZ racing Ultraleggera wheels... Being in college they were a big investment, and I go to school in the poorest county in Ohio with lots of theft! I've been reading up on Tilt sensors which basically tell if the car is being jacked up or towed and sets off the alarm. Anyone ever installed these to the factory system? Please let me know!

I don't think the factory system can accept additional sensors, especially non OEM ones. They do make tilt sensors and proximity sensors for aftermarket security systems. I had a prox sensor on an old grand prix i had, if some one reached thru an open window or the sunroof, it would trigger the alarm. You could adjust it so no one could get with in a foot of your vehicle. It got annoying with stray animals and even large leafs

Looks like there are 2 signal wires, 1 for tamper (the chirp) and 1 for shock (full alarm). And since that's the case you can use pretty much any sensor that would allow that trigger signal. I'd assume its just a 12v input? that wouldn't be hard to test if you have the stock sensor.
