Default Where does this connector go?

I've had my truck apart for a few weeks and I can't figure out where this connector goes. It's a speartech harness and it's located at the back of the intake.

what engine? On an LT1 or a Vortec 4.3 V6 (the two engines I own) it would most likely be an oil pressure sensor.

Lq4. I'm using an aftermarket gauge and I bet you're right. I probably didn't have it plugged into anything before lol

That's the newer style OPS plug. My LQ4 (01) has the old style one wire plug.

That's the coolant temp sensor. Here is what I had to swap LS3 (white)-to-LS1 (black). It is located at the front of the head on the driver's side by the exhaust port (on an F-body anyway).

OP said his connector goes to the back of the intake though. Also his connector is female whereas the one in your pic is male.

Those are not connectors in my pic. Those are the actual coolant temp sensors. You can see that the black one is a perfect match for the plug he shows at the top.

Also, the heads are symmetrical, so the coolant temp sensor can also go at the back of the passenger side head. If the harness doesn't reach to where it is found on the F-body, chances are that is where the sensor is located on his truck.

EDIT: It looks like the A/C line also uses the same exact connector for the high pressure sensor.

That black 3-way coolant temp sensor is for the 98 LS1 Camaro/Firebird only. Everything else uses the 2-pin sensor on the right.

To the OP if that is at the back of the intake it's for the oil pressure sensor and hookup is optional. If you have aftermarket gauges you can install the gauge sending unit in that hole and discard the factory sensor.
