2000 camaro interior lighting issue please help! What's going on guys, I'm pulling my hair out over here over something that should be so simple. I put LED interior lights in my ss, when I put the rear dome light in it blew the #8 20 amp fuse. Long story short I got the lights to work but now all the interior lights will not turn off at all, not while driving etc. I researched the crap out of it, both door switches and trunk latch are good, the dimmer light is not all the way up " common mistake I see people make". I'm out of options I hope I didn't hurt the bcm or the wiring. Can anyone help me out I'd really appreciate it. Tonight I am putting the regular bulbs back in i have a feeling it will not change anything but it's worth a shot. I had no issues before trying to install interior LEDs

Fuse #8 powers the BCM and the fact that the fuse blew, should have indicated a circuit overload or direct short. The door, rear hatch and dimmer switches all provide ground inputs to the BCM to activate the interior lights. If these switches are operating correctly, then the problem is most likely in the BCM. Is it possible one of the LED shorted out on installation? I've attached a couple of schematics for the interior lights.

Yes! The Dome light led had a short and was causing the issue I just put stock bulbs back in. I am just glad it did not hurt the bcm, I appreciate the diagrams and help I am going to hold on to them always great to have.

The problem on mine was the rear dome light too. I had installed LED bulb and it was not a good fit. It made the interior light flicker during driving or not turn off at all. I put the original bulb back in and it solved the problem.
