Alpine head unit and power pack help
Alpine head unit and power pack help Hey guys I recently picked up a alpine power pack 445 used and I have a alpine head unit cde 121 says it's plug and play with my unit radio turns on but no sound I can't figure out what is wrong the car is 99 camaro ss doesn't have the factory amp in the rear were the spar tire is any help would be appreciated
well , i believe my installer had to bypass the factory amp to get my new stereo to work. that was an extra hundo out of my pocket. just an idea since i didnt install myself. ps i have the alpine mini amp with alpine R speakers however i went with a kenwood deck which also added rewiring costs.

Unfortunately, that's not a true measure. Resistance and impedance are not the same and you will generally get a resistance reading of around 3 ohms on a 4 ohm speaker.

Understood. I was only trying to relay that I have had problems with speaker brands that MEASURE less than 4 ohms, causing the amps to shut down trying to protect themselves. Saw that too many times to count with Infinity speakers wired directly to Kenwood head units.
Never mind, I'm sure all of the equipment will work perfectly together.
