I've had a problem with my alarm on my newest Camaro since I got it. It will not beep when arming and dis arming the alarm. It will still lock and unlock the doors just doesn't make a sound. Also on the same thought pattern the horn will beep once when you push the center and a second time when you release it, but it will no stay beeping when I hold it. Any ideas what it might be?
I would start with the wiring on the horn itself under the front of the passenger side fender. Should be two wires running to each horn. From there I would pull the airbag off of the steering wheel and check the wires, and the spring that locks the horn onto the turn signal cam. I'm about to replace my turn signal cam due to the fact the horn doesn't work at all. I found that the spring leading to the turn signal cam is just hanging there. From what I've read it's a common problem for the plastic part of the turn signal cam that holds the spring in to break.

Sounds like the alarm system verification mode has been set to 1, no horn chirps or parking light flashes. This can be changed using the procedure outlined in the owners manual. I've attached a pdf copy of the pages describing how to do this.

Not sure what you're referring to when you say "beep once when you push the center and a second time when you release it". What are you pushing?
After posting the link to the owners manual pages, I realized I should have included the information for putting the system into programming mode. I removed the original attachment and replaced it with the complete instructions.
