Adding Sub to Monsoon?

Adding Sub to Monsoon? Ive done a few stereo back in the day.... but they were all “nothing stock can stay”, “give you a concussion”, “I don’t pay rent so I’ll spend my entire paycheck on the best” setups.
Now that I’m old and have a mortgage, I’ve come to appreciate the factory simplicity.
I’ve pondered adding a small sub to my car for a while now: but thinking about having to drill holes in the firewall, run wires, and research systems discourages me every time.
But now I’m about to replace the carpets.... so while I have access: maybe it’s time to add a small sub?
1: What’s the limit, amplifier wise, that our stock electrical system can handle?
1a: any suggestion as to what size amplifier/sub compliments the monsoon system well (I’ve been down the rabbit hole where you over do your subs, so you upgrade your speakers)
2: stupid question: If I have an aftermarket headunit that is feeding the Monsoon: will the subwoofer pre-out still work on the headunit? Or will I need to get some line-level converters?
