Funny squeak/pop behind dash I have a sound, that sounds like a turn signal flasher, very slowly blinking - as in once every 10 seconds. It's a Tick-tock noise. It happens only when the car is running, continually. As far as I can tell it is not *actually* the flasher unit (aftermarket electronic kind), or the hazard flasher, since the sound happens even when these are off (ie not blinking). Is there any other kind of relay or switch anywhere behind the dash, specifically more behind the radio or AC controls, that could create this sound? The sound seems to be coming from behind the AC control area.

Solution after more than a year: I remembered I had taken out the fuse for the interior courtesy lights about a year ago (to save electricity for my tiny battery, to not have to have the rear view mirror lights go on or accidently get bumped on). Let me try that- HALLELUYAH. Tick tock noise stopped immediately. So, if that fuse burns out or you take it out, you get that annoying sound like a flasher or slowly going bad relay.
