Need Help. 1998 Gauge Cluster Connector Greetings,
First Post.
I own 1998 Firebird LS1 SCCA racecar. Winter project of removing dash and HVAC done. With that stuff gone, now onto new gauges. I have all the senders and gauges lined up and ready. When I disconnect the cluster from the connector the car starts and runs fine but does not charge. If I plug the cluster back in immediately begins charging. On the 1998 cluster connector pinout and wiring diagram it appears the A14 Generator output indicator control is required by the PCM to start the generator. Am I correct? How can I bypass this circuit so I can get rid of the cluster?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
