Problem with aftermarket alarm

Problem with aftermarket alarm My 98 Formula didn't come with a factory keyless entry/alarm so I figured I would have one installed. Well, everything works fine until I arm it and walk away for more than 30 seconds or so. When I press the unlock button on the remote, the alarm disarms itself, but the doors don't unlock. I have to unlock it manually with the key. I don't think it's the alarm because I can hear the relay they installed clicking. Also, if I rearm it, the locks will try operate. Is there anything in the factory security system that would cause this?
did you make sure that your car has power locks? 
just kidding....i'd definitely take it back to the shop and make them fix it...i've gotta do the same thing to my optional hatch release on my aftermarket alarm....they've already fixed it once, but it's not working again now....

I figured out what the problem is. Apparently the BCM cuts the power to the locks 35 seconds after you close the door. I found a work-around for it. Hopefully I can show to them and they'll fix it for me.

exactly , blademan , if i had saw this post earlier , i could have told you this. you can use one of the two red , large gauge wires going into the ignition switch , they will stay constant .
