CD Changer with Bluetooth upgrade Hi I dont know if anyone else has one of these headunits, but i just bout a 2000 T/A that has the Monsoon package and the headunit has a little blue button to turn on bluetooth, but i cant tell if the CD CHanger is working. I Only put one disc in to the changer to try, do i need to have all of the cartridge filled before it will work, or will i have to get a different head unit in order to use the CD Changer?
I'm kind of old so yeah i still prefer CDs to using my phone

No, you don't need to fill all the slots in the factory CD changer. But one odd thing about those changers is that the discs go in upside down (i.e. label side down). Try that first and see if the discs play. If not, it's possible that the Bluetooth adapter replaced the CD changer harness connection in the back of the head unit so you'll have to choose between one or the other. If you decide on the changer then you'll have to pull out the head unit (really simple - the trim panel just pulls off and then there's three bolts (7mm socket) holding the head unit) and unplug the Bluetooth adapter to plug in the CD changer harness.

The changer is compatible with all Monsoon cassette head units. It is only compatible with Monsoon CD head units if they were after mid-1999 so your 2000 model should be fine there as well.
I never knew that the disks went upside down,WOW my disk changer might work after all. I put the HU in that i took out of my S-10 twenty yrs ago. The things you learn online,thanks
