Never used it, but it is 60mils thick. That is nice and thick/heavy. All that really matters when considreing sound deadeners it how dense (heavy, thick) the material is. The denser/heavier it is, the better it will work. I would use a layer of that, then a layer of the "Frost king" insulation as described here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showt...ight=frost+king
