Default Some Wiring Questions

What does the BCM control if the car is a base Z28 with no power options? I see the BCM, but what would it do?

While swapping out the radio (finding they cut the old harness out, idiots) I found 2 connectors that don't seem to go to anything, curious what they are.

White or light gray 6 pin connector:
Yellow
Light Green
Gray
Black
Brown

Black 6 pin connector:
Black/White
Gray
Purple
Brown/White
Brown

There is also a small red 2 pin connector, a dark green and a black wire.

The BCM controls power door locks, keyless entry, retained accessory power (for radio and windows), courtesy lamps, vehicle anti-theft system (VATS), hatch release, optional alarm system, and various warning lights like seat belts and door ajar.

The grey 6-pin connector is for the fog light switch. If the purple wire in the black connector is actually purple/white then that would be the traction control switch... called ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) in Camaros.

OK, so even with no power windows/locks, etc there still is some basic functionality for the BCM.

There are no fog lights on the car, so that explains why the gray one is not connected. There is also no ASR on the car, so that's why the black one is not connected.

Any ideas on the small red 2 pin connector?

It took a while to find it but that 2-pin red connector is for the (optional) factory alarm system LED which mounts on top of the dash in a hole on the right side of the defroster vent near the daylight sensor.

Perfect, now it looks like I need to get my own manual and stop asking about my random wires on here lol.

Thanks for the help!
