First I will say that you shouldn't underestimate a stealthbox, the cab gain in the fbody cars is insane, the car can play everything very well and I have everything time aligned properly and with the rear speakers turned down a little, you can barely tell there's any back there at all, everything comes from the front and centered pretty well. The imaging is outstanding and while this isn't an SQ build, it's still the best system I've heard yet.
Crossovers are set at 100hz with a 24db slope, so there's no phase issues, though I might change it to 120hz with a 12db slope. I have the mids and highs gains set properly with 2.5db of overlap and the subwoofer gain is set with 5db of overlap.
Install is fairly simple, nothing gave me any headaches, the passive crossovers (EX-530) for the front components is hidden behinds the kick panel and both runs of 4 AWG power wire was ran through the grommet behind the cars computer. I did do the big 3 as the stock electrical was definitely not gonna be enough for well over 1000w RMS and even with the big 3 I was still getting voltage drop when cruising at 65 mph. So I also upgraded my alternator and now it drops only at idle in drive when the car is in drive idling at like 600 RPM, idling in neutral it's fine. Car holds a solid 14.5-14.6 volts back at the amps.
Excuse the wiring, the kits were barely long enough on the power wires, I did the best I could.
This head unit is great. Wish it had 4 volt preamp outs and android auto. But I didn't want to drop $250+ on a new head unit.
Easily the best sounding components I've heard, very warm and not harsh at all, they tend to hair trick my leg hairs 🤣
For $80 right now, these are the best coaxials you can buy under $100, they absolutely love power and have that same warm sound that the fronts have.
This has to be the most overbuilt sub I've ever seen and at first it wouldn't fit in the box, I had to make the opening bigger, and the magnet was too wide where the box kind of necks down. But it slaps!
That stock battery ground wasn't letting go so I sanded the paint and made a new one! Silver is the 4 channel, red is the monoblock.
175 amp alternator in that sexy black finish, shame it's not at the top of the motor.
