Looking for a nice double din stereo that I can use an obd2 dongle with and monitor my gauges. I want something elegant looking with no *****. Buttons ok, 7” screen preferred. Ideas? Suggestions?
One of the Android-Based units on Ebay may work for that. There are so many options made by so many companies, however most are re-brands of the same few. I don't know if any support SiriusXM built-in. Don't expect the same quality as the big brands though.
However, I googled and saw people talking about using Torque through Android Auto (possibly via an add-in, not sure), but I think that means its actually running on your phone and showing on the radio.
I had my Kenwood working with my old Note 4. Had a Note 8 and 10 since and not been able to replicate the experience with the Note 4. The Note 4 had something called MHL which would project the screen onto the Kenwood. So i know what you are trying to do. I need to go back to the local Kenwood dealer to see if I can get the wireless Screen Mirroring to work. I found I had a setting set to Dex buried deep in the phone settings, so it might work.
