bling lights install - question

2002 firebird, v6
was gifted bling lights BL5000K ultra bright fog & driving lights.

i understand how to hook them up. my question is, can i NOT cut a hole in my firewall, and NOT use the switch provided and wire them as shown below? I want to cut off the switch provided and splice into existing wires under the hood. can this be done? if so what wires and where? I want to use the existing fog light switch that is stock

You could route some wires near the front door edge at the sideview mirror, put it behind the rubber weatherstripping and into engine area.

Why do you need to route wires through the firewall? Your car already has fog lights and a switch for them. You can use the existing wiring. Even if you use a relay harness, nothing needs to go through the firewall.

I didn't wire-up the Halo, but even if you do that, you can tap into the side marker so when the parking lights are on the Halos are on. Unless you need a control box to select color.

The beam pattern was a cone instead of a flat wide fog light beam so I rarely had them on. I later replaced them with LED Fog Light housings that do produce a low wide beam. There are threads on the one I installed and others like it.
