light/window/radio problem
light/window/radio problem I'm having a problem with my automatic lights not coming on. This has been going on for about two weeks. I've been reading some old posts about it and some post has some of the same problems and others don't. I thought it might be time to maks my own post. This morning the auto light came on when their cold ...as in overnight cold. I also don't have gages lights. Tonight after work I start the car and I didn't have the light, now I don't have the radio aaand the windows won't roll up or down. I turned the air on and the radio and the windows started working. what a pain in the dick!! If someone could shed some light on this it would be great. Does anyone have a wiring diagram??

Check the "T" solder joint in the BCM (there are threads with pictures). That may explain the intermittent windows and radio. Intermittent Auto-lights may be a different issue. Gauge lights, start with fuses. Use a tester, not just visual inspection.
VIP1, thanks for a starting point. As in gauge lights I meant to say dash light. I checked all fuses and they were good. Everything works as it should when cold.
Ok, I've read up on the BCM and Ill get to that this weekend. I can't seem to find info on the automatic headlight, I read how to defeat them but not fixing them

I haven't heard of the auto lights failing. I think that is controlled by a separate box behind the radio which also does DRL. There is also a sensor on the dash near the alarm LED.
