1994 possible wiring issue

Default 1994 possible wiring issue

Have a 1994 firebird, just replaced the entire interior including dash and steering column from a donor car, before the swap I didn’t have a key but the car would at least crank with a screw driver, now I have a key with the new column but the car will no longer crank, all of the lights work and radio, but the car will no turn over, I tried to put the old column back in just to see it it would crank again but it no longer will. There was a security light on with the old column because of the vats im assuming but now that light is no longer there with either column. Tried to see if maybe I missed something that was not plugged in but no luck, any ideas?

Moving to Stereo & Electronics.

If your old car turned with a screwdriver and had VATS, it must have had a resistor spliced in to bypass the VATS.

On your new setup, your BCM (wherever it came from) will need to see a roper VATS resistance before starting.

Are you sure the donor dash was compatible? If it wasn't you may have some fried wiring. Check the instrument cluster store online if you end up needing a new cluster.
