Low oil light on

Low oil light on So, I have a 2000 Z28 and I decided to change out my starter to a two long bolt starter before the original took out my block. Anyways after I was done with the starter my "LOW OIL" light was on. I ordered a new GM OEM sensor and the light is still on. Does anyone know if its common for the pigtail at the end of the oil level sensor to get damaged while changing a starter? One of the two wires kinda felt loose, but I don't know if I'm over thinking it. I hooked up my multimeter and had voltage on the positive wire, but was reading an infinity when I did Ohms on the ground wire (the one that felt kinda loose, but still connected). I don't have any headers or anything so the harness in theory shouldn't be melted.... the car is basically stock. I think I'm going to order a new pigtail for the low oil sensor and see if it turns off the light. And yes I HAVE OIL IN THE ENGINE. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
What you could do is stick a piece of wire into each wire terminal and see if that makes the light go off. It should as I had to do this when I went to an aftermarket pan and didn't want to make a provision for the oil level sensor.

Thanks for the tip for future builds. I ended up fixing it... it was a bad pigtail so the wire must have come undone inside of it. I soldered a new one on.
