99-02 Firebird Fuel Sensor Technical Question Hey All,
I have an 85 TransAM with the 99-02 Firebird Fuel Sensor and fuel tank which usually runs off of a 5volt power supply from the PCM/BCM and has the ohms reading sent back into the PCM at Red#54.
Is it possible to instead power the sender at 12v for an aftermarket gauge and still get the same ohms readings, or will this just not work?

My current plan is to just build a pillar gauge with Arduino to measure/plot the ohm range to a percentage and display it that way.
Works well because I can power the Arduino on the same 5v reference as well and not need to worry about upconverting the resistances from 5v to 12v or finding a compatible gauge.

Tanks Inc. Meter Match. Ground to pot, pot to module, module to gauge. There is also another way using a different Ohm card here:
