Fuel pump enable (wiring) issue
This one is a little different. BCM was replaced almost two years ago. Some wiring adjustments were made by the mechanic at the dealership. Car ran fine for months, then started getting the code for the alarm system but, still ran. Until last time when I cleared the code.
Now crank with no start. It's lack of fuel. I can hear the fuel pump when a scanner is connected to the OBD2. Without the scanner attached, no fuel pump sound.
I have replaced the PCM (no difference).
Reconnected a couple wires that the last mechanic snipped (same song and dance).
I haven't been able to figure out how the mechanic grounded some wires coming out of the BCM (like control wires for the fuel pump and starter) and it worked.
Does anyone know the difference in power/grounds within the BCM and PCM with the scanner attached or not used? Or can point me in the direction for better schematics?
