Temp/Oil press sensor
its more of an understanding of how the temp and oil pressure sensors work with the dash gauge and ECM question. Just recently hooked up an interceptor gauge and for the coolant temp, the interceptor via the ECM reads just fine with no drop, but I have a loose wire near the sensor (the wiggle test) that makes the dash gauge go to zero at different times. Almost the same with oil pressure, except the dash gauge reads fine at idle and cruising but the ECM via interceptor is reading like 6,554 pressure with no change.
Do these two sensors feed both the ECM and dash gauge with separate wires going to each, or are there duplicate sensors somewhere else? Appreciate any help.
