97 Camaro SS - Unable to Program Keyfob - Help please
97 Camaro SS - Unable to Program Keyfob - Help please I'm having difficulty programming the keyfobs, both remotes used to work up until about 6 months ago. Sometimes before that they were intermittent, or would stop working some of the time. I replaced the batteries in remotes did not fix issue.
I replaced the BCM with a rebuild/repaired unit, a good investment just to be sure.
I got the car into programming mode following instructions. Both remotes would not cycle the door locks. I purchased a newer remote and received that today. I verified with a DMM that the batteries were good and had adequate voltage.
I was able to get the new remote to cycle the locks by holding down the Lock/Unlock. I then turned off ignition. Put fuse back in. Cycled ignition again one time. The remote did not work. I then retried the programming sequence, and none of the remotes cycled the lock.
Any knowledge of this, and any suggestions? I'd greatly appreciate the help.
