Rebuilding OEM speakers

Rebuilding OEM speakers Hi, Has anyone here used a speaker rebuilder to rebuild the OEM speakers in their 2002 Trans am with Monsoon? I am 66 and losing my hearing. So I don't need a high end fancy stereo system. I just want to repair or replace the OEM speakers as economically as possible. I see there are kits for about $300 from retailers that are 6 speakers, right oms, right size, right connections. How do these after market compare to OEM rebuilds? Sorry, type louder, I can't hear you. LOL. JK.
I bought the car because I love to drive F bodies. Not for the stereo.
PS. Years of concerts, big home stereo and electric guitars probably caused or advanced my hearing loss. Be advised. Keep the volume down.
PPs. My older brother is concert pianist. Did a lot of fill in for bands when keyboards were sick, etc. He has serious hearing loss too.

There are several threads and a FAQ in the Stereo & Electronics section. Kee Audio has complete kits if you to replace all the speakers and a nice upgrade that isn't too expensive ($310 - $550 depending on package). There have been alternatives discussed in other threads to mix-and-match similar parts that will work. In short (from memory), the 2002 T/A Monsoon system is 2-Ohm, The door speakers are separate components (tweeter and woofer). The mid-speakers (rear seats) are Dual-Voice-Coil Subs with 4 connections, not 2. The rear hatch speakers are separates (tweeter and small woofer).
Some years ago, the foam on my speakers went too and I didn't want to deal with hunting and finding parts so I ordered a Kee Audio kit. I think I bought the Level 4 Kit which is currently $500.
