Question Driver Power Seat

I should visit more often. I can't seem to find the correct area to post this so... here goes. Admins, please relocate it if needed.

I just noticed yesterday the driver seat will not move forward and back as designed. (98 TA)
It WILL move forward but WILL NOT move aft. Any suggestions as to what and where to check to solve this is appreciated.
Thanks.

Get some CRC electronic cleaner and spray the slider button. That worked on my car.

I guess that's something to ponder. (try)
Thanks.

The same motor controls the forward and rearward motion, so that's why the switch is the most likely culprit. It does commonly get gunked up with all the fuzz and dust and dirt that moves under the seat.

You will probably need to remove the seat from the car to remove the trim that the switch is mounted to and may be able to partially open the switch case. A contact cleaner may help but I would use MAF cleaner as it will be safer for the plastic around the metal contacts.
