Default Clockspring

yes I know clocksprings have been NLA for sometime now.....has anyone ever taken one apart to see if they can be fixed? ...I am more concerned with getting my radio controls functioning than getting the airbag functional .....are new airbags even available anymore?

Looks like it has been done before. If you get a roll of ribbon wire and have some good soldering skills it might just be possible. I wouldn't try to cut and splice the original wires though because of all the movement that is in that area.
