Default What operates the OP sensor ?

The OP gauge in the dash does not register....it has a new OP sensor.....if I unplug the connector from the sensor is there a voltage or resistance I can introduce to make the OP dash gauge operate ? the GM manual only says to replace the dash cluster to troubleshoot.....the OP dash gauge has never operated due to the OPSU was broken when I bought it

The oil pressure sender is a grounding device. You should be able to ground its wire and get a full reading on the gauge.
