I bought this gadget several years ago. You connect a 9 volt battery to it and plug it into your power port. It saves your radio settings when you disconnect the battery. I forgot that I had it and found it a while back. So I was changing the battery and decided to try it. Pulled the battery and had the Settings Saver plugged in most of the day until I could get a new battery after work. Put the new battery in and started it up. All my Kenwood radio settings were saved. 2 thumbs up for the Noco Settings Keeper(correct name).
