o2 sensor extentions
o2 sensor extentions i was wondering if i would need to buy o2 sensor extentions when installing my long tube headers or would i be able to extend them myself? if so is there any special wire that needs to be used? or anything else i need to know?

If you choose to extend them yourself, you do not need special wire. Just match the guage size, probably #18 or #16 automotive grad, and solder them. Crimps can fail, soldering would be more reliable, just take your time and route the wiring away from heat sources and chaff areas. Be sure to use sleeving if necessary.
dont extend the actual O2 sensor wires. Those are stainless or something like that, and dont solder the normal way. I read on here somewhere that they needed to be silver soldered. I tried it with regular solder and copper extensions...definitely dont stick together
you can extend the wires before the O2's that plugs into them , though
i gave up and bought the extensions myself.
oh yeah, this applies to the newer square 4-wire O2's, i dont know if the older or different kinds use the same wire
