6 AWG connector? Hi,
I have a 750 watts power inverter and I need to use #6 AWG if the power source wire is going to be longer than 4ft.
However I would like to make the power inverter removable so I need a connector that connects and disconnects and uses #6 AWG size.
Does any stero shop or place online have a connector that uses #6 AWG which I can get?

You'll have to use a mil-spec connector. We use them here at NASA, are they are costly. They also require a special pneumatic crimper for the contacts. You could use #6 lugs and mount each end to a terminal strip and disconnect it from there if need be. Check Newark Electronics 1.800.2.newark or www.newark.com and inquire about the Amphenol lineup.
