problems with amp
I had 2 amps burn up on me doing the same thing before I found out I had a sub with a shorted voice coil. Good luck!
What should i do about the heat? get a fan?

Make sure that your amp is wired to the correct load.. If this is your amp...

And these are your woofers:

wired in paralell to the amp while its in bridged mode... Right?
Although your amp is 2 Ohm stable in stereo mode, it is not stable to a 2 Ohm load while bridged. That puts the same stress on the amp as a 1 ohm load in stereo. The amp is seeing the low load and going into protection mode so it doesn't get damaged. The solution is to wire each of the woofers in stereo, or replace the woofers you have now with 8 Ohm models, so the amp sees a 4 Ohm load while bridged.. (It can do that with no problems) Good luck!
