Fauty Relay For school I an testing a circuit to see if it is bad in which I know the relay is the problem. The relay recieves batt voltage and while not energized I have continuity between 30 and 87a like I should. When energized the switch should activate and I should hear a click and lose continuity between 30 and 87a and gained it between pins 30 and 87 but I don't and when I test for voltage on pin 87 which if the relay was good should now show voltage it doesn't. Resistance of the coil is good about 65 ohms. How do you word the problem? Would you say it has an open between pins 30 and 87 while energized? Can't be short to ground or to power. It just confuses me. And just incase no there is no high resistance in the circuit, power or ground side. Thanks in advanced.
