Light/Electrical Problem: 98 3.8 Bird My girlfriends 98 bird started acting up today. She says whenever she goes to turn the lights off they make a bad buzzing/vibration noise. This happens only when they are going down, not when they go up. Also when she goes to put her alarm on that same noise happens, and the headlights go up and down by themselves. Does anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, search on here for information on a stripped headlight gear and you'll find plenty.
Basically:
The gears in the headlight motors have ground out.
