Default Power window motor

How much should one of these cost to be replaced at a respectable shop? Mine is on its last leg.

Dunno for a 4th gen, but with my 91Z, I was quoted $75 per door in labor, then about $40 for a good quality new motor. However, if you have any kind of mechanical skill whatsoever, and a buddy willing to hold the window, it is a rather easy repair job to do yourself.

its def not worth the money to pay someone to do it for you. ive done it three times now and it take me about 30 mins (once on my old TA, a friends Firebird, and just did it on my Formy) its real easy. and you dont need someone to hold the window either. use rubber door stops, or a c-clamp. www.shbox.com has a detailed write up with pics.

it's easy. I did mine in an hour, never had done one before. I would suggest getting a replacement motor from Advanced or Auto Zone. Dont get the $55 Siemens motor, thats what i got and it's now no better than what I had to replace. There is a $70 one that should be better

That's the one I just put in on the drivers side, Seimens.
