ALternator whine HELP
PS: ive installed some noise suppressors from monster and they didnt work. My RCA's are the 401 xln, so they are FAR from cheap cables.
Next reground the HU.
Do not run your RCA's near ANY power wires, and if you MUST cross a 12v power line, then do so at a 90* angle to reduce the noise available for the RCAs to pick up.
Do not assume that just because they are hi dollar RCAs that they wont induce the problem. Swap in some new ones just to see. And unscrew the trim piece from the shield of the RCA and check the connections inside of each RCA plug. (You can also do this with a DMM set to impeadance)
Finally recheck that there is no corrosion under the ground on the amp and that the ground is contacting BARE METAL. Paint is an insulator, and must be removed for optimum performance.
