OMG the horn is a wuse, help
hmm, i'm wondering if water will effect all horns in the same way.... i need to look into the horns... maybe tomorrow i'll go to some dealership and ask to her some horns.... lol i wonder what they would think of me...?
Sounds like your low tone horn is bad, I had the same problem. Check this thread I posted a while back for a $10 replacement horn that was IDENTICAL to the GM horn that I pulled out, down to the part number: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...highlight=horn
same here, pep boys had thhe same exact horn in stock by the stereos.... i got a lower note this time and turned the horns in hope that less water will get up in there.....
i cracked open the old horn and it was like full of water, when i turned it over i had quite a bit of water come out....

I turned mine over and they were full of water too. Has anybody seen the horn shields any place other than the dealership? I looked for some today, but I didn't see any at Advance...
i was actually looking into fabbing one up out of some thick plastic.... maybe i will make 2 and be willing to send it to you at price of materials and very little labor maybe $5 or $10.... going to have to look into it....saves your horn from having to be replaced... might be worth it... have to find some time tho
i purchased the same horn you did the freeway blaster.... its a little louder than stock but not much... i compaired it to my buddies Z..... sounded a bit better...
