rear interior lights and trunk light out
hey, i have a problem where when i used to open the door, all the interior lights would turn on but know the rear lights and the trunk light wont turn on.
also, i noticed when the trunk light is touching a metallic object, all the lights then turn on but wont turn back off.
any suggestions?

the interior lights use a ground to turn them on and not ahot wire so that would explain why it works and doesnt turn off as long as its touching metal
i guess you have checked all your fuses? if so then try and trace the wires
the dome light wire that should show (-) when the door is open is white and it goes to the bcm

Do any of the interior lights turn on when you open the door?
Does the radio turn off when you open the door?
If you said no to either of these, try the passenger door.
Its possible that there is a problem with the switch in the driver's side door lock mechanism.
