Default Killing Monsoon, need help with new system

I got a couple of questions. I have a new HU,6.5 alpines for sails(stocks are blown),2ch amp, subthump enclosure with RFt210". I came up short on funds and couldnt buy a component set for the front doors. Can I use the stock with and aftermarket HU? How should I wire it? Can I use the stock speaker wires or will I have to run a new wire to each speaker? How do I hook up my power antena? BTW I am planning on running the four front speakers with the HU and the woofer with the 2 ch amp.

I think you can use the stock speakers, but the woofers are 2 ohm load so this could be bad on your new HU if it can't handle it. I'm not sure if most aftermarket units can handle 2 ohm loads, you should contact the manufacture. The main problem with running good aftermarket speakers in the rear is that you wll have better sound coming from the rear, which might sound kinda wierd, some people don't even like rear treble sound. I found there was a pretty big difference in the sound quality between my stock speakers and my aftermarket ones, the new ones weren't as muddy and I heard more sounds that I didn't hear with the stockers. So I would get some new front speakers when you get the money, just so everything is nice and balanced. The sub should run fine off your two channel amp, and I guess its up to you if you want to run nother amp for the other four speakers, I would consider doing so as the sound will be better at louder levels without distorting as much. Headunits really don't push the power like they claim. My stereo says 60 watts per channel, but is no comparison to my 60 watt amp. you could use the stock wires with the new headunit, just look up what color they are and strip them and tie them to the new wires on the headunit. Bigger wires would be better to use, but since your using the stock speakers for the front might as well keep them, otherwise you'd have to pull the door panels off to install new ones. Your rears I'd use the new wires , since they probably came with new ones. The power ant. wire is pink just strip it from the stock stereo wire harness-look in the stereo facts http://www.houston-f-body.org/tech/monsoon/HeadUnit.htm http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48092 This page says for monsoon, but my last ride was not monsoon and had the same color wires. You can always look at the power ant in the rear to make sure it is pink. Make usre you don't mix up positive and negative on your speakers, as this will sound crappy
