Default Relocating Battery to CD Changer area

Just wondering if anyone has done it.
If so, what did you use to keep it in place?
How did you route the wires and what gauge did you use?
And lastly, what did you do with the CD changer?

Planning on putting an Optima red top back there, if it can be done neatly/safely. I've seen guys just put it where the tops go, and I don't want to do that, too much nice weather around here.

First let me say If you do this please use a red/yellow to SEALED battery.
yes all the drag racers do this but not on the driver side but the passenger side where the spar tire was. I have the BMR battery relocation braket very nice but at the track you may be kicked out. some people do some don't. I haven't had a problem as it is sealed and inclosed in the paneling. But the track says it needs to be in a case.

Buy the Taylor battery relocation kit. Do not use some car audio cable. I don't care how big it is 1/0 or 0/0 don't. The Taylor 2ga is better! there is a gromet in the fire wall by the pcm. Remove the PCM and you will see it.

Most of the cars I have seen don't have fuses or breakers in the trunk but you should as if that power wire grounds out there will be alot of melted plastic and mybe a small fire! I have a breaker in the back that if it pops can just be reset.

For performance the battery is better on the passenger side as that is the twist of the car of the line.

That kit is slick. I wasn't wanting to rid myself of the spare, no matter how crappy it may be, but now that I think about it, screw it. I've got 24/7 roadside assistance. I'll definitely get that kit when I relocate the battery.

As far as the battery, hell yeah I'm gonna get a sealed one. No amp wiring for me either, I like to do things the RIGHT way. I've found that if you don't, you'll wind up doing it again a couple times. As far as the track kicking me out, their idea of a safety inspection is giving you a "tech card" and telling you to fill it out.

Thanks for the info.
