Default monsoon question

The sound quality is muddy in my trans am. I'm thinkin its the subs. I've heard conflicting information on where the subs are located in the stock monsoon set up. So I'm trying to find that out. Also, I want to know what people replace these with. I am not looking to re-wire my whole system, i just want some replacement subs.

The factory subs are in the sail panels next to the rear seat. The doors have separate mid-bass and tweeters while the hatch area has separate mid-range and tweeters. There really isn't any way to replace the subs with other than stock and have them sound good because the stock speakers are 2-ohm and most aftermarket speakers are 4-ohm. If you replace the rest of the speakers as well then the 2-ohm/4-ohm difference isn't as much of a problem. There is a very good discussion of this in the sticky threads at the top of this forum.
