Default Sub amp advice needed

Current system spec:
MTX Thunder 4200X amp
Bouston Acoustics RX67 speakers (in doors and back seat speaker locations)
Kenwood KDC-MPV619 MP3 deck

The amp specs are:
RMS Power measured at 12.5 Volts DC:
25 Watts x 4 into a 4 Ohm load with less than 0.1% Thd+N
50 Watts x 4 into a 2 Ohm load with less than 0.3% Thd+N
100 Watts bridged x 2 into a 4 Ohm load with less than 0.3% Thd+N

Dynamic Power (IHF-202 Std) measured at 14.4 Volts DC
55 Watts x 4 into a 4 Ohm load
100 Watts x 4 into a 2 Ohm load
200 Watts bridged x 2 into a 4 Ohm load

Speaker specs are:
Recommended Amplified Power: 12-160 watts
Nominal impedence: 4 ohms

Head unit specs are:
Operating voltage: 14.4V
Max output power: 50Wx4
Full bandwidth power: 22Wx4

I picked up a 10" MTX sub with enclosure for a helluva deal (thanks again, Modsquad!), but being the ignorant computer geek I am, I need help getting it hooked up. I'm assuming I should buy a mono amp for the sub and connect through that, but am not entirely sure how to do this.

I'm not looking to compete or to blow anyone's doors off, just looking for the sub to take some of the strain off my speakers.

Any advice?

A mono amp is your best bet for a sub. PPI (Precision Power) and JL amps are some of the best and cleanest amps money can buy (unless you can afford a McIntosh, of course ). MTX makes some powerfull amps. But more important than that, is the box your sub is in; if the box is too big or too small, it will sound like crap regardless of what amp is powering it. A properly sized sealed box is the cleanest, but not the loudest, that would be a ported or bandpass. Dynamat insulation also does wonders for sound quality and volume. Call Custom Car Stereo, link in my sig, and talk to someone there. They do work on Bently's, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, etc. on a regular basis, so they can probably give you a tip or two.
